This one here is for all those who are lazy in knowing some veggies that are absolutely healthy and forget to add in their diet.

Raw bananas are one of those veggies which are rich in vitamins and are rich in fibre as well. They help in weight loss and are great for diabetics. Eating raw bananas can prevent stomach problems and are also good for heart health.

I love creating and exploring such vegan recipes. Being an absolute adorer of non-vegan dishes, even I can’t differentiate that this dish which I am going to show you is made from raw bananas.

Recently, I made some Raw banana cutlets which are lately my favourite dish it tastes so mouth-watering and heavenly like the soft galouti kebabs and I am sure after reading out the recipe you are also going to love it and couldn’t resist from making some for yourself. These cutlets can surely be used as an alternative to mutton/meat cutlets when you don’t have non-vegan options and want to make something in a jiffy.

As a matter of fact, I enjoy the deep frying but somewhere I feel that it is always better to look for healthier options. So I thought to make an appetizer which could be delicious as well as a low-calorie snack too. So let’s dive into the recipe quickly!

Ingredients:

2 boiled raw bananas

1 tsp of ginger chilli paste

2 tsp of oil

1 tsp mustard seeds

1 tsp of asafoetida

4-5 curry leaves

1 tsp red chilli powder

½ tsp garam masala

¼ tsp turmeric powder

2-3 tbsp. finely chopped coriander leaves

Salt as per taste

2-3 tbsp. oil for shallow frying

Method:

• Boil raw banana in enough water for 7-10 mins on medium flame and afterward drain all the excess water and the bananas should be firm so let it cool completely, remove the peel and grate it.

• Take the grated raw bananas into a bowl and add ginger chilli paste, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, and some salt. Now in a pan take 2 tsp of oil and put some mustard seeds, asafoetida, and as soon as the seeds begin to crackle put some curry leaves and put the tadka into the raw banana mixture and let the fragrance get inside the mixture for 2-3 minutes.

• Then mix everything and add coriander leaves and start making small balls out of it and flatten them and let them grill on the pan by putting 1 tbsp. of oil on it and cook until they get a nice golden colour from both sides.

• Remove them on a plate and serve hot with tomato ketchup/mint-yogurt dip.

Delicious raw banana cutlets that are low on calorie, 100% vegan. Enjoy guilt-free snacking with these healthy plantain cutlets!
