Worry not, we got you an easy recipe on how to make Salep drink at home without much hassle. So without further ado, let’s have a look at the ingredients needed.
Ingredients :
1 tbsp salep powder
2 tbsp sugar
1 litre of high-quality milk
Ground Cinnamon powder to sprinkle
Turmeric powder (Optional)
Pistachios (Optional)
Procedure :
• Take the salep powder, half cup of warm milk and sugar in a bowl, mix them well and start whisking them together until the mixture becomes lump free. Pour the rest half cup of milk and continue stirring well.
• After the mix gets completely smooth and lump free, pour it on a thick bottomed pan and put it on a low flame. Stir it for a few minutes and then leave it on a medium flame to get cooked and a little thickened for about half an hour.
• Keep stirring the batter in several intervals to prevent it from burning. Also in the meantime, take a pinch of the creamy mixture and taste it to know whether the sweetness is balanced or not. If needed, you may add a little bit of sugar according to your taste.
• Turn off the gas and wait for the mixture to get cooled, thickened and creamier.
• After the creamy liquid gets a little cooled, pour it into different cups and according to individual preference, sprinkle cinnamon powder and pistachios over it. Also, you may add 2 teaspoons of turmeric and stir well to make the drink tastier and more nutritious.
